  • Remote rural Retail Centre redevelopment and extension to accommodate a new Shoprite, Furnmart, Hungry Lion and Eshisha Media.
  • Now completed as the quickest Shoprite constructed in Namibia (156 working days).
  • Unlocking debt finance, placement and negotiations of national tenants, Development Management and providing engineered solutions to create value and bring the project to life after 15 months of planning.

  • Facilitation, negotiation and implementation (with partners) of a 13MW solar plant facility to Namibia’s largest Gold mine (B2Gold).
  • Involvement through Project Management, Civil & Structural Engineering and Quantity Surveying services.
  • Remedial works on a 11,5 MWp solar plant in the remote location of Okatope, Namibia.
  • Civil / Structural Engineering (rebuilding of ponds, stormwater network and lifting of solar panels), Project Management & Quantity Surveying.

RESIDENTIAL Projects

  • 12-unit residential complex in Rehoboth, Namibia.
  • Built using environmentally friendly, sustainable and modern technology: Polycare MAS building blocks.
  • Turnkey solution: Project Management, Development Finance, Tenant placings, Sales and Property Management.
  • Phase 1: 66 residential units completed.
  • Next Phases: Currently in planning for further 220 units.
  • Development & Project Management and Project Finance (including Development Finance).

SOCIAL INFRASTRUCTURE (CHARITY) Projects

  • Assisted a willing American donor to find a suitable donation for an ablution facility in Namibia.
  • Initial designs, planning and budgeting to match provided grant value.
  • Local authority and ministerial approvals required for donation and construction.
  • Oversight of the project works as the Engineers, Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager.
  • Involved the inclusion of a modern off-grid ‘dry-toilet’ solution (Enviroloo system) new to Namibia where environmentally sustainable water-free solutions are provided for the sanitation at the school allowing for low maintenance.
  • Further involved new green technologies with the construction of the walling system as a dry-pack solution without any sand, cement or water being used in the superstructure.
  • A special project for Fortitude. Taken on as a corporate social responsibility project and contribution to the greater Windhoek community.
  • Cost estimates to complete the initiated School Entertainment Hall.
  • Funds were raised from a German charity.
  • Facilitation of numerous donations from the local community (specifically local construction material suppliers and builders) to ensure a product is delivered which Dagbreek can be proud of despite budgetary pressures.
  • Daily oversight of the project works as the Engineers, Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager.
  • A school hall completed for a foreign charity in a remote location using Polycare technology.
  • Completed a holistic professional service from plan preparation, submission, approvals to construction and handover.
  • Facilitation of local approvals, flow of funds and final handover on behalf of the foreign client.
  • Engineered use of portal frame construction methodology for ease of transport and construction due to remoteness of the site.
  • Assisting with a turn-key solution of holistic services for The Catherine Bullen Foundation in Namibia.
  • The construction of a school hall in a remote area/district where a value-engineered solution needed to be provided to ensure the client’s budget could be accommodated whilst overseas during the planning process.
  • Bringing much needed additional resources to communities in need including the use of local labour in the upliftment of the local community.
  • Identification of a suitable donation from a private foreign donor.
  • Facilitation of local authority and National Ministry of Health approval and support to construct 2 x 2-bedroom houses in Okakarara to house Nurses and Doctors due to an accommodation shortage in the town.
  • Planned and executed during a global pandemic and during national lockdowns.
  • Turn-key solution provided from planning, approvals, construction and completion of the units and handover to the Ministry of Health.
